AI Video Credits Explained: What Blinkvid Shows Before You Generate
A subscription price or credit balance does not tell you what one video attempt costs. Blinkvid quotes the exact visible setup before submission, then tracks the credit hold through the generation result.

The short answer
Blinkvid credits are the unit used to pay for generation jobs. The quote for one attempt depends on the selected model and supported options such as duration, resolution, and output count. The current server quote appears beside the setup before credits are held.
During processing, the quoted credits are held rather than immediately treated as a completed charge. They are charged after a completed video is safely stored, or returned after a confirmed failure. An unknown result remains unresolved until Blinkvid can reconcile it; it is not a reason to submit the same setup again.
Why there is no single price for every AI video
Different video models have different upstream costs and support different lengths, resolutions, audio modes, and editing workflows. A four-second standard-resolution image animation is not the same request as a longer, higher-resolution or multi-input generation.
That is why Blinkvid treats the live quote attached to the visible configuration as the useful number. A copied number from an old article, a screenshot, or another model may no longer describe the request in front of you.

Read the quote
Three lines tell you what the attempt means
1. Your setup
Check the aspect ratio, duration, resolution, and output count. These describe the requested video rather than the balance in your account.
2. This run
This is the current server quote for the exact supported setup. Changing a priced option can change this number.
3. Balance state
After sign-in, compare available and already-held credits with the quote. Signing in by itself does not submit or charge a generation.
4. Submission state
Once a job is accepted, keep following that task. Do not create a duplicate while the provider or storage outcome is still being confirmed.

Credit lifecycle
Held, charged, and returned are different states
- Quote: the server calculates the current cost of the visible setup before submission.
- Hold: the quoted credits are reserved while the accepted video job is processing.
- Charge: held credits are settled after the completed result is safely stored.
- Return: held credits are released after a confirmed terminal failure.
- Unknown: an uncertain provider, callback, or storage outcome is reconciled before Blinkvid permits a duplicate decision.
What the eight-credit starter gift does—and does not mean
The current welcome gift is 8 credits for eligible new Google registrations. Email-only registrations, registrations from India, an unavailable country check, and anti-abuse failures do not receive the gift. Eligibility is checked after sign-in; it is not assumed from a marketing page.
The homepage starter is deliberately configured to cost exactly 8 credits: Seedance 2 Mini, 9:16, four seconds, 480P, one output. That does not make every Blinkvid tool or every model an 8-credit generation. Focused trend tools use their own live configurations and currently cost more than the welcome gift.
Starter, purchased, and subscription credits remain credits in the same balance. The source of a credit does not restrict it to a special free-only model, but a specific run still needs enough available credits to cover its current quote.
How to avoid a surprise before you generate
- Read the full setup summary instead of looking only at the model name.
- Use the current quote shown by the product, not a number copied from a guide or screenshot.
- If you change duration, resolution, output count, audio, or model, check the quote again.
- If the server asks you to accept a refreshed price, review the new setup before continuing.
- Do not resubmit an identical request while its dispatch or result status is unknown.
- Judge a result before starting another version, then change one named part of the setup.
Credits are not the same as value
The least expensive generation is not automatically the best choice, and the highest resolution is not automatically the best default. The useful question is whether the visible setup fits the intended clip and whether the result is good enough to keep, download, and use.
For that reason, Blinkvid reports completion, storage, and the creator’s next action separately. A successful provider response is not the same thing as a useful creative result, and neither one proves reach, ranking, or revenue after publication.
Compare the plans, then trust the quote on the generator.
The pricing page explains how credits are acquired. The exact cost of a video still comes from the visible setup and live server quote before submission.
